Common questions

FAQs from parents & students

Is the college affiliated and recognised?

Yes β€” affiliated to Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia (JNCU). B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. are recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Are seats reserved through any centralised counselling?

UG / PG admissions to most programmes are direct β€” apply at the college office. B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. follow the state-level counselling process; the office helps you file and seat allotment is honoured.

Can a student transfer in from another college?

Yes, with a valid TC, Migration Certificate (if applicable) and a no-objection from the previous college, subject to JNCU's transfer policy.

Is there hostel accommodation?

The college is day-scholar by design β€” most students commute from villages within 15-20 km. We assist out-of-area students in finding nearby private accommodation through verified contacts.

Is the medium of instruction Hindi or English?

Primarily Hindi, with English-medium options for specific subjects (especially B.Sc. Agriculture practicals and B.Ed. methodology papers). Examinations may be written in either language unless the syllabus specifies.

How do scholarships work?

SC/ST/OBC/EWS students apply through the U.P. Scholarship portal each year. The college files the institution-side verification within the deadline. Your annual fee is adjusted once the scholarship is credited.

Can fees be paid in installments?

All annual fees are already billed in two equal installments β€” one per semester. Exceptional cases are discussed with the manager.

What if I miss a semester examination?

JNCU's back-paper / re-appear provisions apply β€” typically you can clear it with the next batch. Talk to the examinations cell as soon as possible.
