A college founded on faith in the next generation.
Gopal ji Mahavidyalaya was set up to give the children of Reoti and its surrounding villages a fair shot at modern higher education โ close to home, taught in their mother tongue, on fees their families can afford.
An institution rooted in Ballia.
Reoti is a town on the Ghaghra in northeastern Uttar Pradesh. For generations, students from here had two choices for a college education โ travel hours to Ballia city or Varanasi, or simply not go.
Gopal ji Mahavidyalaya was founded to offer a third choice. We are a co-educational degree college, registered as a trust, affiliated to Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia (JNCU) and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for our B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes.
Today the college runs ten programmes โ three years of B.A., four years of B.Sc. Agriculture, five M.A. streams, the B.Ed., the D.El.Ed. and a BFA โ all on the same campus, under the same management committee, in the same Hindi-medium, English-friendly style of teaching we started with.

Vision & Mission
Two short statements. Everything we do should map back to one of them.
Vision
To be the college of first choice for the families of Reoti and the surrounding villages โ known for honest teaching, fair examinations, and graduates who go on to do useful work.
Mission
Deliver affordable, semester-based higher education across arts, agriculture, education and fine arts; mentor every student by name; and prepare them โ academically and ethically โ for further study or honourable work.
Five things we hold ourselves to
- Honest teaching. Classes happen. Syllabi are completed. Practicals are real.
- Fair examinations. Internal marks reflect work done; external marks come from the university.
- Transparent fees. Annual fees are published. There are no hidden charges and concessions are documented.
- Open doors for parents. The office is reachable; the principal meets parents on demand.
- Useful graduates. A degree is the floor, not the ceiling. We help students figure out what comes next.
